If you are a 'third party' and need to carry out maintenance work that could affect our pipelines, you need to use our Pipeline Search facility to ascertain whether your activities will be close to one of our pipelines. All third parties have a legal obligation to inform us of their activities.

Are your activities close to one of our pipelines?
By using the Pipeline Search facility on the right, you will be notified on screen whether your activities will be close or not to one of our pipelines.

If your activities are close, then you will need to write to us, providing details of proposed work being carried out. If you are informed by our search facility that your activities are not close, then you are able to proceed with your work without having to give us further notice.

Using the Pipeline Search facility
1. Click on the circle for Ordnance Survey National Grid references, or Eastings and Northings, depending on the system that you have information on.
2. Enter the co-ordinates in the boxes provided.
3. Click on the 'submit' button and follow the directions provided.
